In order to strengthen our engineering team we are looking to hire a Passive Safety – Front System Specialist based in Maranello (Italy).

We are looking for a passive safety Performance Engineer expert on front system development on sports cars.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

Support Innovation team leading passive safety performance through engineering analysis, data and video analysis, and suggesting new ideasBuild up activities plan for each vehicle (passive safety relevant)Definition of the target settingsTarget deployment definitionDefinition of the development plan of the lateral restraint systemVerification of the consistency of the std plan with the vehicle plansAchievement of target performanceTransversal design solutionsVerification of the introduction of project changesPursuit of the testing planPreparation of STD specifications for test object set-upPreparation of STD test specificationsInterfacing with component application teamsIn order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Mechanical / Biomedical / Vehicle Engineering or equivalent.

You should ideally have gained at least 3 years' dedicated experience on development of front system for EU and US market: front sled, simulations, and crash test planning.

Basic knowledge of CAE technology for biomechanical simulation and understanding homologation rules in the EU and US market are important to manage the activities.

In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment.

Strong communication skills and accountability are important skillsets to manage activities and responsibility of the role.

It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities.

Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage.
