Patient Care Assistant Prn
Job SummaryThe Patient Care Assistant performs tasks supportive to the delivery of patient care in assigned First Physicians Group offices under the direction of a CMA/RMA/LPN/RN.
Required QualificationsOne of the following:Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, or a military corpsman; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), which must be maintained active during employment; orNursing students who are eligible for the CNA exam are required to: Currently be enrolled in an accredited school of Nursing (RN/LPN), Have completed the first semester of clinical for ASN degree, completion of third semester for a BSN degree, or completion of first trimester for LPN, andCannot be currently licensed in the U. S. as a RN or LPN. Students currently enrolled in an accredited medical assistant program who have successfully completed at least fifty (50) percent of the curriculum to qualify for the exam to receive certification accepted by First Physicians Group. Basic Life Support/CPR certification is required or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire/transfer date.
Preferred QualificationsPrefer working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
Mandatory EducationHS EQ: High School Diploma, GED, or Certificate.
Work Days/Shift/Start TimePRN, up to 3-4 days a week.
Hours 8-4:30.
*Set pay rate for PRN position = $17. 25/hr.
