- We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist Italy
Department overview:
Michael Kors Payroll Department is part of Finance delivers payroll checks, maintains compliance with tax laws, records paperwork for new hires and edits existing employee files for Italy.
Who You Are:
You are detailed oriented, good at organizing your workday, a good communicator and capable of working with mínimal supervision, honest, good at following instructions well, competent with spreadsheets.
What You'll Do:
You will be responsible for the payroll process in Italy, ensuring a timely and accurate payment to the employees and 3rd parties (social security and tax authorities).
- Manage the monthly payroll process for Italy, validating all the changes (starter, leaver and other updates) to be processed
- Maintain contacts with the external payroll provider for Italy, submitting the data for the monthly payroll process, reviewing the preliminary reports and approving the final version of the pay slips
- Request the approval of the net payments to the employee
- Liaise with treasury team the social security and withholding tax payment
- Provide the accounting team with the journal entry in line with the information processed into the monthly payroll process and the accrual information
- Perform the SOX controls implemented at MK Europe level
- Ensure all starter and leaver paperwork are processed in a timely manner, depending on local requirements
- Following special issues and staff changes (accident and sickness, maternity and parental leave, students, interns, promotions, salary adjustments)
- Support HR on payroll related queries raised by employees
- Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports based on payroll data (including statistic reports)
- Follow the social security and employee's taxes audit and queries, involving the relevant departments
- Contribute in the projects: payroll migration, time&attendance fine tuning, integration between payroll provider system and HRIS
You'll Need to Have:
- Diploma/Degree in HR/Economic educational background
- Professional qualification with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Professional knowledge of payroll accounting and labor law, social security and income tax law
- Experience of working with a multi-national organization
- Very good administrative and organization skills
- English and preferably another European Language would be a plus
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Workday knowledge is a plus
