The Role

As actuaries, it is not enough to have the technical skillset.

The ability to communicate complex concepts to audiences from a variety of backgrounds is fundamental.

Each audience has different needs and knowledge and so we need to tailor our communications to suit.

As a project-based business, no two days are the same.

You will be involved in regular project meetings which will help you to understand the overall project and where your work fits in as well as providing a space for you to report your progress and raise issues.

Our work requires us to work closely with our other offices throughout Europe and around the world.

You will gain exposure to various companies ranging from small domestic companies to larger multinational insurers.

**Main Role Responsibilities

- Conducts reviews of rates for assigned product lines, analyzing profit and loss results, past and current trends, projecting underwriting losses and reviewing competitiveness of rates

- Completes detailed analyses, makes recommendations, and prepares rate package proposals for key business partners

- Prepares internal and external communications, including interactions with regulatory authorities and management that will describe and support rules and rate changes

**The Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics or related field

- Can analyze data and review analysis while demonstrating strong decision making skills

- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced: Excel); standard knowledge in the use of data sources

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Able to work to a high level of accuracy

- Able to work well under pressure and meet targets

- Flexible and pro active approach to work
