If you have any questions about this vacancy or the application process, please email us at: ****** Hauptaufgaben Incumbent performs the full range of tasks associated with the skilled level pipefitter, typical of which are the following: Plans and lays out work utilizing blueprints or lay-out sketches when provided; determines tools required and estimates necessary materials such as pipe fitting, etc.

in the sizes, types or lengths needed.

Trouble-shoots and analyzes defects; locates and marks spots for openings in walls, ceilings, or floors.

Installs, repairs, maintains and/or replaces steam lines, valves, radiators, heaters, storage and condensate tanks, steam tables, sterilizers, steam traps, control valves, fittings, expansion joints, steam pressure cookers, air conditioning units.

Installs small steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.

Reconditions boilers periodically.

Checks steam system for leaks, defects in equipment and malfunctions.

Installs, repairs and maintains reducing valves, and stations, vacuum pumps, expansion locks and expansion joints.

Installs new heating systems and makes new showers and lavatory handling.

Maintains record of time and materials used on jobs and completes job orders.

Performs tasks in connection with fabrication, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems: Performs the full range of journeyman level plumbing tasks including estimating material requirements; i. e. , pipes, fittings and fixtures in the size, types or lengths needed; locating and marking spots for openings through which pipes are to pass or in which equipment will be installed; threading and pipe bending operations; installing, altering and/or repairing water mains, water closets, showers, sinks, lavatories, etc.

Plumbing systems may also include the fire suppression systems, the fire water grid and plants, fire hydrants, sprinkler systems and components.

Tour of duty is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 08. 00 to 17. 00, including a 1-hour uncompensated lunch break.

ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION; 2.

ABILITY TO INTERPRET INSTRUCTIONS, SPECIFICATION, ETC.

(INCLUDES BLUEPRINTING READING); 6.

ABILITY TO USE AND MAINTAIN TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT; 7.

KNOWLEDGE OF MATERIALS.

NOTE: Incumbent must understand and speak Elementary English and read and understand words and phrases pertaining to daily tasks.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED: In order to qualify for this position, your application must provide sufficient experience to meet the requirements of the position.
