Planning Director
Reporting to the VP Supply Chain and Quality, the Planning Director is responsible for the production planning team and its managers.
He is a good manager of people and also has an excellent background in planning techniques.
He is responsible for the coordination of production and capacity planning to ensure optimum capacity to meet demand forecast.
Analyse and propose changes to the production footprint and propose product relocation maximizing the profitability and the service level and minimizing the inventory level.
He also lead the monthly planning meeting utilizing Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) in order to oversee and provide a mid-long term trend of production and inventories; propose and discuss the factories set up with manufacturing.
He also has a strong strategic approach and propose innovative projects to make the planning process more effective and production footprint and capacity more flexible shaped around the customer needs.
Set KPIs and SMART targets for all the team.
**Job Description**:
- Developing and leading Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) for all manufacturing platforms on rolling 12-month basis.
Coordinating and leading S&OP meetings with key stakeholders
- Increasing asset utilization, optimizing scheduling, and identifying productivity improvement opportunities
- Monitoring and taking action to ensure stated lead times are maintained and service level goals are consistently achieved
- Identifying and maintaining optimal inventory levels to improve working capital and maintain high service levels
- Identifying and serving as business lead for operations planning and control software selection and implementation including tools such as scheduling optimization, ERP operations modules, inventory management, etc.
- Providing ad hoc analysis to identify synergy and productivity improvements
- Analysing large new opportunities and provide guidance and capacity plans to support new business
- Identify potential future bottlenecks in capacity
- Identify and quickly address short term capacity bottlenecks working with manufacturing and other functions
- Set KPIs and SMART targets for all the team
***Job key requirements:
- Master's degree in management engineering (mechanical or similar)
- 8 or more years of experience in planning
- 3 or more years in leading teams
- Experience in network-wide planning and inventory management for multi-site manufacturing operation
- Ability to quickly assess needs and develop change management approach and project plans to quickly drive adoption and support for new processes
- Experience in creating a highly responsive team and sense of urgency to drive improvement and respond to service issues calmly and professionally
- Ability to engage and motivate people
- Fluent in English language
- Excellent Microsoft Office
