Plant Manager
For a multinational company operating in packaging sector, we are looking for a
**PLANT MANAGER
He/She will be responsible for the continual improvement of the business to ensure profitable growth in business year on year, being a change agent leader and driving the cultural transformation necessary to achieve world class performance by the organization.
**Main activities and responsibilities**:
- Ensure that all business processes and activities are managed in a manner which maximizes team member safety and complies with all relevant environmental and Health & Safety Legislation.
Creates and promotes a safety culture amongst team members.
- Integrate the business within the Group, ensuring processes and procedures are consistent with the wider Group organisation.
Identify, develop and direct the implementation of the business strategies across the site ensuring this is aligned globally and that this is cascaded throughout the business through effective planning, organization and people management.
- Identify and implement productivity improvement projects to improve the profitability of the operation.
- Lead implementation of new products and projects, including on-site technical support.
- Implement and champion processes to support Group's Operational Excellence framework for performance excellence.
Ensure team members are trained and adhere to processes and policies on a daily basis.
Lead implementation of lean manufacturing techniques to support performance objectives.
- Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, inventory, manpower, wages and salaries.
- Establish and monitor performance for on-time delivery, production and quality standards.
- Proactively participate in Operating Reviews to discuss past, current and forecasted performance, including improvement projects, growth projects and corrective action plans.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
- Inspire, coach and support team members to gain their engagement and motivation to deliver the business targets.
Creates the winning team.
**Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing or business.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing leadership positions.
- Experience in plastic manufacturing **(a technical background in injection molding is highly preferred)**.
- Quality Audits including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Experience with developing and implementing successful solutions within operational environments.
- Project and process management.
- Proven people management skills and ability to develop a team.
- Fluent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Lean or Six Sigma qualification preferred.
