UFI Hydrogen is looking for a PLANT MANAGERUFI Hydrogen is the first Italian R&D center and producer of green hydrogen technologies.

Since 2017, the experience of the UFI Innovation Center in the study and production of filtration materials has been applied to the development of new technologies for the hydrogen sector, contributing to the path toward decarbonization.

Climate change won't wait, and we cannot stand by and watch.

That's why UFI Hydrogen was founded in 2023 – a new company dedicated to the research, development, implementation, and industrialization of MEAs (Membrane Electrode Assemblies), the strategic component for both water electrolyzers for green hydrogen production and fuel cells for green hydrogen utilization in zero-emission mobility.

Global demand for green hydrogen is expected to increase by at least 2 to 7 times, with overall growth projected to rise from 1 GW in 2022 to 3, 600 GW by 2050.

For this reason, UFI Hydrogen has decided to take a leading role in the green transformation. Job Summary:The Plant Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of the company, ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively, with a strong focus on performance optimization, compliance, and team development. Duties/Responsibilities:1) Operational Efficiency and StrategyEstablish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards to evaluate company efficiency and effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement. Review, analyze, and optimizebusiness procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Implement and oversee policiesand procedures to improve day-to-day operations and ensurealignment with company objectives. Define and implement long-termoperational strategies to enhance efficiency, flexibility, and competitiveness. 2) Leadership and Production ManagementDirectly supervise Managers and Teams across manufacturing sites, ensuring optimal operational performance, product quality, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate production, logistics, maintenance, and process engineering activities regionally. Coordinate manufacturing, purchasing, and sales departments with the respective Managers, ensuring they achieve goals set by leadership. 3) Financial OversightAct and implement all requested actionsto meet financial objectives. Monitor financial performance and make adjustments to achieve operational and strategic goals. 4) Quality and SafetyEnsure compliance with qualitymanagement systems (e. G. , ISO 9001) and safetystandards (e. G. , ISO 45001) in all current (EMEA) and future facilities, collaborating with Quality and EHS functions. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, incidents, and health and safety risks. Maintain adequate, safe, and efficient work environments. 5) Customer Service and Satisfaction: Improve customer satisfaction through policy and procedural changes that address customer needs effectively. 6) Supply Chain ManagementOversee the Supply Chain to ensure material availability, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize costs and improve material quality. 7) Team Development and CultureRecruit, develop, and evaluate the performance of plant managersand production teams. Foster a corporate culturefocused on operational excellence, safety, and employee development. 8) Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e. G. , Finance, Commercial, HR) to achieve the company's strategic goals. Represent the company in interactions with clients, suppliers, and local authorities. 9) Communication and Change ManagementCommunicate new directives, policies, or procedures to managers and staff, ensuringunderstanding and maintaining morale. Meet with operations teamsto explain majorchanges, answer questions, and guide implementation effectively. Required Skills/Abilities:Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policiesinvolved in business and finance. Superior verbal and writtencommunication and interpersonal skills. Superior managerial and diplomacy skills. Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Education and Experience:Management or Technical Engineering Studies (University / Master's degree). Extensive and diversified background with at least15 years of related and relevant experience. Experience in strategic areas of interest for UFI Hydrogen current and future activities and expansion such as EMEA; China, Tunisia, Brazil. Italian and English professional spoken language.
