Position Ensure the mechanical design of the plant from the offer stages up to the construction and assembly stages. At the Expert level, activities are carried out independently on complex situations, cases, problems or projects. MAIN ACTIVITIES: Defines the preliminary layout and key plan on the basis of the specifications, plant configuration, process diagrams (P&ID), component, system and machine plans and the electrical plan, and transmits these to the Plant Technical Coordinator within the timeframe of the job and/or bid plan. In the offer, it ensures the drafting of the general layout and mechanical arrangements of the main buildings. In the offer he draws up the preliminary Material Take off (MTO) for the purpose of defining the cost of bulk materials and assembly activities. In the order, it takes care of the mechanical plant design of the plant or part of it up to the executive detail. Designs the final mechanical arrangement of the main and secondary buildings. Updates the documentation for which he is responsible on the basis of ongoing design developments and customer comments. Ensures the preparation of the Input Civil Work (ICW). Co-ordinates and verifies the activities of the Mechanical Designers, 2D Draughtsmen and the supply chain necessary for the development of the piping routes for the plant and machines up to the executive detail. Provides support to Site and Service activities. Collaborates with the technical coordinator in the resolution of Knowledge Reports and Site Non-conformity Reports for the aspects of competence. Supports site activities in solving, also on site, critical issues in the mechanical assembly of the Plant. Where necessary, draws up the Material Take off (MTO) for the purpose of advancing the purchase of bulk materials. Requirements Diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Excellent knowledge of Autocad systems and 3D modelling. Basic knowledge of power generation systems with emphasis on the mechanical part. Excellent predisposition for teamwork and coordination of technical resources. Particular flair for achieving objectives in terms of meeting deadlines. Capacity for overview and aptitude for problem solving. Experience in site support is a plus.
