Plant Quality Lead
Main Duties ResponsibilitiesQuality LeadReporting to Plant Manager (hard line)Functionally reporting to Quality Assurance ManagerWorkplace: Forlì, Italy – Plastic srlResponsibilities and duties:The Role will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the company product meets Customer Quality requirements and Trimas quality objectives, maintaining the company quality systems in line with ISO 9001 and BRC standards.
The role will also be responsible for the identification and development of continuous improvement projects. Mainly tasks:Lead the quality team of the Forli plant. Promote EHS culture across the plant. Manage quality improvements in the plant (scrap reduction, preventive quality, driving continuous improvement). Ensure daily contact with customers/suppliers regarding potential quality claims. Ensure new project/product launches into serial production and related activities. Manage, control, analyze, improve, and report daily, weekly, and monthly status of quality (KPI's). Maintain Quality Management System standards. Create and update work instructions, quality alerts, and Quality Control Plans. Aid in overcoming production, assembly, and process problems.
Provide periodic reporting on quality services, including recommendations for further actions. Set up audits on the production line regularly and track action plans. Provide advice on the acceptance or rejection of incoming materials and components, implementing and following corrective actions with suppliers. Work closely with the Plant Management team to identify and solve quality issues in the short and long term. Maintain ISO certified standards and work towards obtaining new certifications targeted by the company. Qualifications:University education in a technical field (bachelor's degree or master's degree). 3-5 years of work experience in the role as Quality Supervisor or Customer Quality. English - Advanced or fluent. Ability to lead people. Ability to manage daily tasks of incoming/outgoing quality and requirements towards customers/suppliers. Open-minded person to find process improvements. Knowledge of Quality and safety standards. SPC Knowledge. Preferred knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology. Other technical skills:8D, problem-solving, and quality tools. Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook. Soft skills:Accuracy, flexibility, reliability, team player, natural leadership, analytical skills.
