Plant Quality Manager
The Plant Quality Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities within the food production facility, from raw material inspection to the final product release. The Plant Quality Manager ensures that all production processes comply with quality standards, safety regulations, UK Retailers standards and current laws, fostering a work environment focused on excellence and continuous improvement. By closely collaborating with Operations departments, the Plant Quality Manager ensures that finished products meet company requirements and customer expectations, contributing to the company's success and reputation in the market. Key Responsibilities: Leading the Team: coordinating both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities to implement quality systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production facility. Actively participating in the development of food safety culture, team spirit, sharing objectives, methods, information and whatever empowers company success. Develop and Implement Quality Systems: design and maintain comprehensive quality assurance programs and hygiene standards to meet industry benchmarks, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Regulatory Compliance: ensuring that all processes comply with local, national, and international food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA, USDA, and other relevant standards. Hygiene Standards: implementing and monitoring rigorous hygiene protocols across all production areas to maintain a clean and safe working environment, minimize contamination risks, and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Product Excellence: fostering a culture of high standards to deliver products that consistently exceed customer expectations, emphasizing innovation, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality at every stage of production. Organizing regular tasting sessions to evaluate product quality, consistency, and alignment with customer preferences. Documentation and Record Keeping: establish and maintain accurate records of all quality assurance activities, including NCs, consumer complaints, audits (both internal and external), certifications, and training sessions. Internal Audits: conduct regular internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of quality systems and implement corrective actions where necessary. Continuous Improvement: identifying opportunities to improve production processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality; leading root cause analysis for any quality-related issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. Cross-Functional Collaboration: working closely with Operations and Supply Chain teams, as well as Marketing and Sales Support departments to integrate quality considerations into all stages of product development and delivery. What We're Looking For: Must have: Master's degree in food science Italian native speaker and fluent in English FMCG significant experience, especially in the Food sector Food safety and HACCP excellent knowledge A team player mindset UK standards knowledge (plus) Skillset: Leadership & management skills Project management and organizational skills Prioritization J-18808-Ljbffr
