The Global Information Technology (IT) Department of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is actively working on rationalizing and streamlining the diverse technological landscape within the Group.
This ongoing initiative bears many aspects and lead to many projects mobilizing the overall workforce of the company.
**PMO**:
THE ROLE
Within the Global BI organization and under its governance, the MSC Technology Italy - Program Management Officer's mission is to work within the Business Intelligence Team to ensure governance process is followed.
The Program Management Officer will play a key role in the implementation of standard processes, methodologies, and monitoring for the entire program and across all the MSC technology offices.
He/she will be directly exposed to Senior Management and will bring a reliable contribution to the decision-making process by preparing detailed analysis and briefs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
MANAGEMENT
Prepare briefs and analysis on key strategic decisions for the Senior Management
**Administrate program management tools (Ex**: SharePoint; Azure DevOps; PowerBI; Excel)
Maintain guides, templates and project portfolio dashboard and tools to help Project Managers follow the PMO procedure
Support program monitoring (timelines, deliverables, and implementation)
Organize meetings and events
CONTRIBUTION
Ensure corporate process and procedures are followed by team
Maintain and adapt project documentation repository
Support effective communication with program team and all involved stakeholders
Follow-up required action plans
Perform quality control and PMO reporting
Assist in governing project risk and issues practice
Be a contributor in the development of staff training material
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Deal with transversal issues, be proactive and pragmatic in solution findings
Exchange regularly with the offshore team to keep up-to-date various administrative documents
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
At least 2/3 years of PMO or project management experience
Experience in IT project development
MS Office Products (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
Good experience of SharePoint (Office 365)
Knowledge of Azure DevOps
Very good English communication skills (oral and written)
Capacity to work in a multicultural environment
Curious and willing to learn
Ability to meet critical deadline
Strong organizational skills
Very detail oriented
