Meditrial is seeking a Business Development Manager in Italy to focus on customer acquisition by locating, negotiating, and closing business spanning all Meditrial services, with a focus on our core business: clinical trials and electronic clinical data solutions.
The role will target, identify, and qualify new business opportunities with EU clients, leveraging her/his portfolio for company development, focusing on generating leads and successfully managing prospects ultimately closing business deals and increasing the company's revenue streams.
This position is closely aligned with internal Meditrial teams and is responsible for communicating both the scientific and operational benefits of Meditrial Clinical trial services and solutions to prospective clients.
**Responsibilities**:
Actively prospect and generate new sales and business opportunities in Italy and the EU
Achieve Meditrial presentations, RFP generation, and sales targets
Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with customers and develop in-depth knowledge of the organization
Collaborate with internal Meditrial staff regarding the development and procurement of proposals
Establish and maintain frequent contact with customers through focused client visits and presentations (both virtual and in-person)
Aggressively pursue awareness of competitive activities, positioning and pricing, which includes specific reasons for awards and non-awards
Maintain and update information within Meditrial CRM database with appropriate sales activity data
Perform general strategic and tactical account planning, management, and execution Support Meditrial marketing initiatives when necessary (e. g. , conferences, symposia attendance)
Reports to global COO
Collaborates with leadership and team across the organization to maximize product offering and to secure, retain, and grow accounts.
Skillset & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and proficient sales experience in the healthcare industry:
- Fluent English and Italian
- Knowledge of the sales process from initiation to deal-closing and experience with lead generation and prospect management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Be persuasive and goal-oriented; self-motivated and self-directed.
- Ability to multitask, reprioritize on the fly, and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to quickly gain a full-bodied and in-depth understanding of company services
- Must be able to provide accurate, expert level advice to reach outcomes that will enable achievement of overall department and organization goals.
- Ability to professionally and confidently communicate with C-Level Executives.
- Ability to work accurately under stress and pressure to meet competing deadlines.
- At least 8+ years of B2C sales experience in clinical research services market.
