**Travel**: Expected travel time is 30-60%
Meditrial is seeking a Business Development Manager in Italy to focus on customer acquisition by locating, negotiating, and closing business spanning all Meditrial services, with a focus on our core business: clinical trials and electronic clinical data solutions.
The role will target, identify, and qualify new business opportunities with EU clients, leveraging her/his portfolio for company development, focusing on generating leads and successfully managing prospects ultimately closing business deals and increasing the company's revenue streams.
This position is closely aligned with internal Meditrial teams and is responsible for communicating both the scientific and operational benefits of Meditrial Clinical trial services and solutions to prospective clients.
**Responsibilities**:
Identify Companies and specific clinical trial opportunities within the target territory.
Develop a robust sales pipeline of clinical trial opportunities with defined revenue contributions within timeframes.
Obtain a full understanding of the clients' needs and challenges, clearly articulating these to internal stakeholders.
Ensure high-quality client documentation, including RFI, Proposals, Budgets and Bid Defence strategies to secure the sales opportunity.
Lead and manage the development of key client relationships with Meditrial management team
Actively share with internal stakeholders, industry and client insights, as well as competitor information gained through external interactions within the sector.
Deliver high quality and accurate individual sales reporting including timely reporting of activities achieved and those planned.
Act as a Brand Ambassador representing the company as needed,
Attend Global Conferences and Seminars to promote Meditrial with targeted clients.
Reports to global COO
Collaborates with leadership and team across the organization to maximize product offering and to secure, retain, and grow accounts.
Skillset & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and proficient sales experience in the healthcare industry:
- Fluent English and Italian
- Knowledge of the sales process from initiation to deal-closing and experience with lead generation and prospect management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Be persuasive and goal-oriented; self-motivated and self-directed.
- Ability to multitask, reprioritize on the fly, and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to quickly gain a full-bodied and in-depth understanding of company services
- Must be able to provide accurate, expert level advice to reach outcomes that will enable achievement of overall department and organization goals.
- Ability to professionally and confidently communicate with C-Level Executives.
- Ability to work accurately under stress and pressure to meet competing deadlines.
- At least 8+ years of B2C sales experience in clinical research services market.
