YOUR TEAM The (SBRP) research line is led by Dr. Lucia Beccai.

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group and collaborate with the team to carry out common research within outstanding facilities.

For this post, the research aim is to design and develop continuum manipulators taking inspiration from the capabilities of the elephant trunk.

The specific objectives are to investigate innovative metamaterial-based soft actuators and to develop multidimensional soft gripping systems.

in mechanical engineering, robotics, mechatronics or in a closely related discipline. Documented experience and strong skills in:Mechanical design and fabrication of tendon-driven soft systems and pneumatically actuated systems.
