Institute for Renewable Energy Short description of the position: Eurac Research is looking for a motivated Post-doc/Senior Researcher with a background in economics and finance to join the URS Group.

Contributing to projects that drive the clean energy transition, this role offers a unique chance to contribute to groundbreaking research and innovation.

Enhancing her/his knowledge in the-above mentioned fields, the successful candidate will play a key role in international research and industry projects.

Tasks: Modelling of energy markets, particularly the power market; Support basic financial analysis related to clean energy investments; Organizing and conducting project meetings, workshops and conferences; Contribute to communication, information and dissemination tasks within the projects.

Requirements: Background in one of following disciplines: economics, finance, and/or statistics; Programming skills, especially in Python, with previous experience in AI-based frameworks is an advantage; Familiarity with energy markets is an advantage; Good oral and written communication skills; Skills on interpersonal relationships and teamwork; Motivation to learn and capacity to work in group and with autonomy; Good command of English (reading, writing and speaking); Knowledge of German and/or Italian is an advantage; We offer: The position is initially available for a period of three years with the concrete possibility to be transformed into a permanent contract upon mutual satisfaction among Parties; Work conditions which allow professional growth and know-how acquisition; Dedicated workspace with young, engaged colleagues; Flexible working hours; Attractive living conditions in the middle of the Alps.
