We promote excellence in basic and applied research such as neuroscience and cognition, humanoid technologies and robotics, nanotechnology, materials for a truly multidisciplinary scientific experience. YOUR TEAMYou will be working within the Unit For Visually Impaired People (UVIP) Research Line, a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group led by Dr. Monica Gori, who has extensive experience in the field of psychophysics for multisensory processing.
The unit is multidisciplinary at its very roots, comprising both neuroscience-oriented and technology-oriented profiles. The research project you will be working on focuses on the quantitative characterization of individuals, in order to develop and validate user-centered urban technologies for inclusive engagement. Your main responsibilities will be:Experiment planning, management, data collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination using EEG and multimodal behavioral, cognitive, motor, perceptual, and physiological data. WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINEA PhD in neuroscience, neuroengineering, bioengineering, neurobiology, neuropsychology or related areas with application of quantitative EEG. Proven strong experience with quantitative EEG. Working knowledge of written and spoken English. Good communication skills and the ability to integrate within a multidisciplinary international research group. EXTRA AWESOMEProven experience with at least one programming language among Python, R, and MATLAB. Proven experience with EEG source analysis or EEG connectivity analysis or EEG modeling. Proven experience with EEG machine learning or deep learning techniques. Experience with EMG, BCI motion tracking or eye-tracking technologies. Experience with non-compliant subjects. Experience with children/infants. Experience with other neurophysiological techniques (e. g.
