IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a Post-Doctoral Position to join the Unit of Pathogenesis and Treatment of Immune and Bone Diseases at SR Tiget.

Located in Milan (Italy), the San Raffaele Telethon Institute for Gene Therapy (SR-Tiget) was created in 1995 as a joint venture between Ospedale San Raffaele (OSR) and Telethon Foundation with the mission to perform cutting-edge research in gene and cell therapy and to translate its results into therapeutic advances, focusing on genetic diseases.

SR-Tiget is fully integrated within OSR and has dedicated infrastructures to support high-quality preclinical studies and proof-of-concept clinical trials.

**Main activities**:

Molecular biology (digital drop PCR, vector cloning, lentiviral vector production);

Lentiviral transduction in hematopoietic stem cells;

Animal manipulation (bone marrow transplantation);

In vivo studies to evaluate efficacy of gene correction;

**Flow cytometric analysis**:

OMIC assays (transcriptomic, single cell RNA seq).

**Who we are looking for**:

A young and motivated PhD with a Degree in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology or related disciplines and have previous experience in molecular and cellular biology, flow cytometry, and primary human cell culture and manipulation.

Experience in single cell transcriptomic is strongly appreciated.

Proficient English, proactive attitude mindset, excellent organizational skills and team spirit are required.

The project will exploit LV-mediated gene therapy and include in vitro and in vivo studies to dissect the effects of gene manipulation exploiting different cellular/molecular techniques including single cell RNA seq analysis on hematopoietic stem cells.
