A three-year post-doctoral position is available in the Human Inherited Neuropathy Unit, led by Alessandra Bolino at the IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy.

Research work in our laboratory integrates basic and clinical research through a translational approach and it is devoted to i) unravel the mechanisms at the basis of myelin formation and maintenance in the nerve and to ii) interfere with these mechanisms and pathways to ameliorate human diseases of the nervous system.

**Main activities**:

The post-doctoral fellow will work on a project aimed at clarifying how dysregulation of cytoskeleton dynamics and membrane trafficking leads to aberrant myelin and axon degeneration in the nervous system;

**Who we are looking for**:

Excellent research planning and organization skills;

Research experience in cellular and molecular biology will be considered as a plus.

**Work details**:

**Type of contract**: full time collaboration; salary will depend on research experience and CV of the applicant;

Duration up to three years;

The position is funded by Muscular Dystrophy Association, MDA, USA and Charcot-Marie-Tooth Foundation, CMTRF, USA;
