Post-Doctoral Position In The Experimental
IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a post-doctoral fellow scientist to join The Experimental Gastroenterology Lab, headed by Dr. Ungaro in the Department of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy.
Our lab focuses on the investigation of the cellular and molecular mechanisms at the basis of the pathogenesis of gastrointestinal diseases, including chronic inflammatory conditions, such as Crohn's disease and its fibrostenotic complications.
Current projects include the study of the mechanisms through which the microbiota contributes to the alterations of mucosal immunity in the human gut during Crohn's disease-associated complications, via either cellular and molecular biology, spatial transcriptomics, and machine learning-driven approaches.
**Main activities (required)**:
Human cell cultures, human-derived sample processing;
Animal experimentation;
Molecular analysis through the main molecular biology techniques;
Data Analysis and Interpretation.
A strong background in molecular biology, animal experimentation, and familiarity with primary cell cultures.
Strong scientific record, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and enjoy working independently and as part of a team.

**Type of contract**: fixed-term contract, collaboration
**Duration**: 12 months, renewable for up to additional 2 years
Possibility to implement molecular biology skills with an international fellowship to join AcelaBio laboratories (San Diego, USA);
