THE ROLEYou will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists, experts in molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, behavioral neuroscience and bioinformatics collaborate to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. The Brain Development and Disease Research Unit is coordinated by Laura Cancedda, who has extensive experience in neurodevelopment and neurodevelopmental disorders models. The laboratory research focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular determinants of neurodevelopment and neurodevelopmental disorders with the final goal of translating this knowledge into therapies. Within the research team, your main responsibilities will be to conduct independent research on your project while enriching the know-how of the lab with your experience. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSDocumented experience in molecular/cell biology and biochemistryGood command of spoken and written EnglishADDITIONAL SKILLSExperience in behavior, bioinformatics and/or organoids is a big plus. Ability to work in a challenging and international environmentCapacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environmentPossess Analytical Reasoning skills and a growth mindsetCOMPENSATION PACKAGECandidates from abroad or Italian citizens who have carried scientific research activity permanently abroad and meet specific requirements, may be entitled to a deduction from taxable income of up to 90% from 6 to 13 years.
