This position is centered on a groundbreaking project titled "Targeted Delivery of Innovative RNA Therapeutics. "Project OverviewThe project aims to pioneer the development and characterization of lipid nanoparticle-RNA (LNP-RNA) systems designed for active targeting, delivering innovative RNA cargos to specific cells.

This research initiative is at the forefront of RNA therapeutics, a field that has demonstrated its revolutionary potential in medicine, from combating the COVID-19 pandemic to treating rare diseases and cancers. Role and ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will undertake a dynamic role, encompassing the design, synthesis, and characterization of TARGET-LNP-RNA systems, along with LNP-RNA systems carrying innovative RNA cargos or gene editing tools.

The role involves the development of advanced techniques and methods for the structural and functional characterization of these systems, collaborating with an international network, and disseminating and publishing research findings. Candidate ProfileA highly motivated individual with:A PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, or related fields. Strong experimental experience in the synthesis and characterization of drug delivery systems, nanomedicines, recombinant proteins, and eukaryotic cell culture systems. A solid publication record and excellent communication skills in English. Contract Duration: 36 months, with the possibility of renewal up to a maximum of 6 years. Location: Ispra, Italy. Salary Range: €3, 943. 39 – €5, 711. 77, as of January 1, 2023.
