Postdoctoral Researcher
We're looking for highly qualified people in HPC to evolve a massively parallel cosmological code to exa-scale capability in the dynamic and exciting frame of the EU Center of Excellence SPACE ( ).
Responsibilities Joining the effort in the re-factoring and evolution of the hybrid parallel code OpenGadget towards exa-scale capabilities.
Participation in large simulation campaigns and scientific work is also possible during the activity.
Qualifications The candidate must be proficient in high-performance computing, parallel programming with MPI and OpenMP, GPU offloading, and modern approaches to software development.
A firm scientific background in cosmology and astrophysics is desirable but not needed.
Location: The preferred location is the Astronomical Observatory of Trieste, however, different agreements are possible.
Duration: 1+1 years
