Offer DescriptionThis is a full-time postdoctoral position at the University of Roma Tre within the scope of the PRIN project EQWALITY: Engineered Quantum Walks on Spectral Modes: Machine Learning and Metrology.
The successful candidate will participate in the experimental activities of the EQWALITY project, involving the realization of continuous time quantum walks in the frequency domain.
Particular attention will be given to the metrological aspects as well as to the incorporation of machine learning techniques.
The EQWALITY project is a collaboration between the Quantum Ultrafast Optics Group led by Ilaria Gianani (University of Roma Tre) and Claudia Benedetti (University of Milan).
Qualifications A PhD in physics, engineering, or other relevant subject. Previous experience in a quantum or ultrafast optics laboratory either as a PhD or as a postdoc. A proactive attitude and a genuine interest in quantum optics and quantum information. Ability to work collaboratively in a research team. The Quantum Ultrafast Optics (UFO) Group at Roma Tre University focuses on advancing quantum technologies through innovative research in quantum optics, ultrafast quantum metrology, and machine learning integration.
Key research areas include biphoton state characterization, time-frequency quantum walks, and quantum spectroscopy.
The group's activities leverage quantum light's unique properties for high-precision measurements, enabling novel quantum sensing and computational schemes.
