Duration: 18 months Application deadline: 6th of May 2025 Start date: June/July 2025 Role Description This is a full-time postdoctoral position at the University of Roma Tre within the scope of the PRIN project EQWALITY: Engineered Quantum Walks on Spectral Modes: Machine Learning and Metrology.

The successful candidate will participate in the experimental activities of the EQWALITY project, involving the realization of continuous time quantum walks in the frequency domain.

Particular attention will be given to the metrological aspects as well as to the incorporation of machine learning techniques.

The EQWALITY project is a collaboration between the Quantum Ultrafast Optics Group led by Ilaria Gianani (University of Roma Tre) and Claudia Benedetti (University of Milan).

Qualifications The successful candidate will have:

A PhD in physics, engineering, or other relevant subject Previous experience in a quantum or ultrafast optics laboratory either as a PhD or as a postdoc.

The Quantum Ultrafast Optics (UFO) Group at Roma Tre University focuses on advancing quantum technologies through innovative research in quantum optics, ultrafast quantum metrology, and machine learning integration.

The group's activities leverage quantum light's unique properties for high-precision measurements, enabling novel quantum sensing and computational schemes.
