On behalf of a leading company in the European energy sector, we are looking for a:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role in the Italian market, a strong mathematical and statistical background, and a solid knowledge of the Italian power system regulation and TSO operations.

Position: Power Portfolio ManagerThe Power Portfolio Manager will report functionally to the Head of Portfolio Management and will be responsible for operating the dispatching of the power company's portfolio, with the view to minimise the balancing/flexibility risk associated with the company portfolio (sales and generation).

Responsibilities:Ensure that the dispatching activity takes place efficiently and profitably, leveraging market optimization instruments (MGP, MI, XBID) and taking direct P&L responsibility;Contribute to the set-up of the Power Operations IT System;Develop new methodologies for pricing potential new power plants (conventional and/or RES);Support the introduction of new systems and processes that will foster the development of the company in this area, in alignment with company standards and operational procedures;Assist the pricing activity to the sales teams, as well as any supporting activity to the company management that will be required. Requirements:Graduated in Engineering or Economics subjects;Minimum 5 years' experience in related work;Excellent communication skills and a very good command of the English language (oral and written);Excellent skills with Python coding structure and language; general coding skills will be a plus. These qualities complete the profile: autonomy, reliability, an open-minded approach, and a proactive attitude toward new challenges and responsibilities, along with strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
