Chiesi Research & Development
Our R&D team represents a fundamental asset for the business.
It is divided into integrated functional areas focusing on pipeline projects including discovery and preclinical research, chemical manufacturing and controls, drug delivery technology, clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, intellectual property, quality assurance, R&D project and portfolio management.
Headquartered in the new purpose-built and fully integrated Research and Development Centre in Parma (Italy), the team also has important operations in Paris (France), Chippenham (UK), Cary (US), Stockholm (Sweden) and Toronto (Canada).
Who we are looking for
Main Responsibilities
- NMR structural characterization of New Chemical Entities (NCEs) supporting Discovery and Devolopment activities;
- NMR analysis of analytical standards coming from GTD and GMD;
- Use of NMR to characterize impurities and degradation product in DS/DP supporting Discovery and GTD activities.
Experience Required
At least 2-3 years of significant experience in NMR Spectroscopy.
Knowledge of the most common software for NMR data analysis (TopSpin/VNMRJ, MestreNova and ACD) are required.
Education
Degree in Chemistry, CTF, Pharmacy or related scientific disciplines
Languages
Good knowledge of English (written and oral)
Technical Skills
- Sample preparation;
- Independent design and execution of routine NMR experiments (i. e. COSY, ROESY, HSQC, 1H, 13C and 19F NMR);
- Independent operation and maintenance of NMR instrumentation (cryogen fills, shimming, and training users);
- Interpretation of experimental results;
- Documentation of work in a digital notebook (ELN) and routine uploading of experimental results to a central database.
