Working at Guala Closures means having the opportunity to be part of an international world class leading organization, committed to innovating and investing in new sustainable closures solutions for the beverage industryAbout The RoleAs Pricing & Commercial Excellence Manager you will be responsible for managing and optimizing pricing strategies, processes and tools, ensuring the maximization of revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The role will focus on providing strategic insights, enhancing commercial practices, and ensuring that pricing practices align with the company's overall business objectives.
This is a key role that supports both internal teams and external customers to ensure competitiveness and margin protection. Responsibilities:1 - Pricing Strategy and Optimization:Develop and implement global pricing strategies for product lines, ensuring alignment with business goals and market conditions. Conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis to identify pricing opportunities and risks. Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of customer-specific pricing proposals, ensuring compliance with corporate pricing guidelines. Monitor and adjust pricing based on customer and market dynamics, ensuring sustainable profitability. 2 - Commercial Excellence Initiatives:Lead and support cross-functional teams to drive improvements in commercial processes, from quoting and tendering to pricing and contract management. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to develop pricing models that support strategic business objectives. Identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the overall commercial approach and operational efficiency. 3 - Data Analysis and Reporting:Build and maintain pricing models, reporting tools, and dashboards to track pricing performance and monitor key metrics. Conduct pricing reviews and provide actionable insights to senior leadership, with recommendations for improving margin and market competitiveness. Leverage business intelligence and analytics to support decision-making and price optimization across the business. 4 - Customer and Market Relationship Management:Work closely with Sales teams and customers to understand needs and ensure the alignment of pricing strategies with market expectations. Manage key customer pricing agreements, negotiate contract terms, and maintain pricing governance across key accounts. Provide training and support to commercial teams on pricing tools, policies, and strategies. 5 - Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:Partner with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain) to ensure pricing and commercial strategies are aligned with business goals and customer requirements. Regularly engage with senior management to provide updates on pricing performance and commercial initiatives. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred). Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in pricing, commercial excellence, or related roles, preferably in manufacturing or B2B environments. Strong understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and competitive analysis. Experience with pricing software/tools and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, or other CRM and ERP systems is a plus. Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and lead teams effectively. Requirements:Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Detail-oriented and results-driven, with a focus on achieving financial and business objectives. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges. Fluent in English (additional languages a plus). Ability to interact with a wide variety of cultures and functions both internally and externallyAbility to quickly adapt to changing industry dynamics and redirect effortsAbility to work under pressure managing multiple prioritiesAnalytical capability with a strategic mindsetGoal oriented, ability to translate the strategy into actionable plansCreative problem solverTime Management (organization in managing daily activities)Strong project management skillsSelf-motivated, results driven and a passion for winning Willingness to travel around 20% to 40% of time.
