**Position Description
The Principal EHS, Management Systems & Competency will be responsible for leading harmonized approaches to support the effective and efficient implementation of NCHC EHS standards, management systems, training, and competency.
Working closely with EHS Leaders, accountable for ensuring key EHS requirements are understood, technical competence is maintained, innovative training deployed, and state-of-the-art practices and techniques are deployed across the Company.
This role is critical in the development, optimization, advocating, promoting maintenance and execution of EHS Management Systems, EHS Competency and EHS Training platforms.
The following are key responsibilities of this role:
- EHS Standards - Attain proficient knowledge of the content of the EHS Standards.
- Steward the document control process of the EHS Standards, Technical Standards and Guidelines including maintaining version in required languages.
Ensure stylistic consistency across these documents and communicate changes.
Assist with development, maturing or amending tools and training that support efficient and reliable compliance with the requirements of the standards.
- Management Systems - Support the EHS Director, Compliance and Assurance in the development and execution of the ISO assessment schedule in coordination with Group ISO Registrar and EHS Assurance team.
Continuously evaluate the value of the group certificates, improve the program, and participate in internal auditing of the Management System.
Responsible to lead the Enterprise Surveillance and recertification assessment and also responsible for the implementation of the Management System requirements including Management Review presentations to Leadership, design, implementation and maintenance of the Enterprise Management System framework.
- Competency - Develop, mature or amend tools and training that support Organizational Effectiveness focused on talent strategy, strengthening the talent pipeline, and building capabilities/competencies that support business intended outcomes and objectives.
- Training - Identify avenues to deliver site-based training in a highly efficient and effective manner through various platforms.
Create and maintain core training program contents based on EHS standards, EHS Management system requirements, and key Competency assessment platform requirements for sites and site professionals to leverage.
**Qualifications** Position Requirements**:
- Education: University/Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, education, management or safety sciences
- Years of experience: minimum 6-8 years
- Knowledge of global EHS regulations & ISO certifications, EHS Management systems
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate data and challenge results
- Business acumen / high level of market awareness and customer sensitivity
- Strong leadership, ability to gain trust and influence at all levels and collaborative
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently present complex information in an easily understood manner
- Demonstrated project management skills, including ability to produce and maintain project schedules, create dashboards and track metrics.
