SummaryAs a Principal Systems Engineer Team Leader, you will be responsible for product definition, product verification, and strategic customer support within Allegro's Power Integrated Circuit (PIC) product lines, coordinating a team of Systems Engineers in their daily activities.

You will work closely with Allegro system, design, and test engineers, marketing personnel, field application, and with industry-leading customers to:

Coordinate the daily activities of the Systems Engineering team, manage priorities, and ensure tasks are completed on time in cooperation with the Manager, Systems Engineering. Develop evaluation board and software (GUI) to communicate with the device and/or automate the test sequence. Verify proper performance of Allegro Power ICs through applications-based testing in the laboratory and perform EMI tests. Create datasheets including all the main device characteristics and applications recommendations together with all other deliverables needed to go into production. Learn the requirements and value propositions for various customer applications within the automotive, communications, and industrial markets. Over time, you will become an expert within the key application spaces targeted by the Power IC Business Unit. Generate application reports and reference designs required to secure major design wins combining different Allegro chipsets. Support Failure Analysis Engineer and field application to understand customer issues and solve them. Mentor and supervise junior and senior Systems Engineers. Requirements:BSEE or advanced degree in Electronic Engineering. 6+ years of industry experience in Power Converter Application or Power IC Design. Solid understanding of PMIC and/or Switching Regulator topologies, EMI mitigation techniques, PCB layout, bench testing, and familiarity with mixed-signal semiconductors. Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, SIMPLIS/SIMetrix, LabVIEW, and switch-mode power conversion and PCB layout experience is preferred. Electronics laboratory experience using a variety of tools and test methodologies. Strong interpersonal and English communication skills as a technical leader of the team. Ability to make clear technical presentations both to external Allegro customers and to Allegro's Senior Management Staff. Our customer base is globally diversified and this position could involve national and international travel.
