YOUR ROLE In the context of the new 300mm semiconductor manufacturing line based in Agrate, a job position is now opened to look for a person to consolidate the Defectivity reduction group that is being formed.

The candidate will belong to a team reporting to the Defectivity Section Manager and will act in a technologically state of the art environment with individual tasks to be fulfilled, strictly in contact with teammates and other functions' colleagues.

As a Defectivity Engineer in STMicroelectronics, the candidate will:

Set up in-line Defectivity control plan and monitoring systems.

Analyze Defectivity issues/excursions and drive cross functional team for actions to prevent recurrence.

Perform defect characterization and defect source analysis for troubleshooting of chronic/baseline issues.

Work with cross functional teams to drive Defectivity reduction programs, baseline yield improvement activities and to study kill ratio of the defect.

Drive Defectivity improvement taskforces.

Drive Defectivity robustness projects.

Defectivity inspection tool recipe creation and management.

Interact with tool suppliers and equipment engineering team to negotiate services on the tools and evaluate possible upgrades to improve detection capabilities or inspection speed.

YOUR EXPERIENCES & SKILLS Degree in Material Science/Physics/Chemistry/Engineering (electronics, physics, chemistry, materials).

Preferred: minimum 2 years working experience and good knowledge in defectivity methodology and inspection tools.

Ability to lead and participate in cross functional problem-solving teams.

Good interpersonal skills.

Self-driven and independent character with a curious mind.

Analytical, data-mining attitude with attention to details.

Fluent English (prerequisite); French knowledge will be appreciated as a plus.

Office Suite knowledge is a mandatory requirement.

Knowledge of Klarity Defects/Spotfire and other Defectivity related tools will be an added advantage.

Familiarity with SPC concept and problem-solving tools; FMEA, 8D, Data mining & analysis will be advantageous.
