Responsibilities: Responsible for development of new and improved processes for custom polymer compounds, including scale up and process testing plans, data analysis, and communication of results.

Primary contact with Manufacturing for writing and communication of production specifications.

Coordinate with manufacturing partners to establish quality and testing conditions for established Avient products.

Participate in the development of scale up, process testing plans, data analysis, and communication of results.

Document and prepare product specifications for manufacturing Avient products.

Participate in the resolution of plant production issues.

Education and Experience: Mechanical Engineer or Chemical Engineer Three plus years of direct, relevant experience Additional Qualifications: Lean Six Sigma certified preferred Leadership qualities: Instills Trust, Action Oriented, Collaborates, Customer Focus, Situational Adaptability, Being Resilient, Demonstrates Self-Awareness, Communicates Effectively.

Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security (EHS&S) Requirements: Avient integrates EHS&S into all aspects of operations.
