Procurement & Contracts Manager

JUMBO Consulting Group is seeking a Procurement and Contract Manager with experience in offshore wind projects to join our growing team in Milan, Italy.
You will join our business to support leading developers with supply chain development, category management, the planning, implementation, and execution of procurement strategies, through to contract management during execution of floating offshore wind developments in Italy and internationally.
**Role & Responsibility
Your role will entail the development and implementation of supply chain and procurement strategy, entering into contracts with the right suppliers on pricing and terms, and supporting the realisation of the project in accordance with defined success criteria, the Project Procurement Strategy and Contract Management Strategy.
- Develop procurement strategies and plans.
- Manage and conduct supplier pre-qualification.
- Draft and negotiate supply and installation contracts for the foundation package of an offshore wind farm.
- Draft, Manage and conduct tender evaluation, negotiations and prepare award recommendation.
- Provide procurement advice to projects management team.
- Contract management, supplier follow-up and contract close-out.
- Manage and coordinate the flow of information internally and externally keeping all stakeholders informed on progress.
- Responsible for strategy and contract management activities at a Project Level.
- Ensure that general guidelines, governance, processes and tools for the Project's contract management activities are developed, implemented and managed.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and execution of the Project Contract Execution Strategy in support of the Project Development Strategy and success criteria.
- Support development and responsible for the review and approval of the Contract Execution Strategies.
- On a day-to-day basis through Project development from Financial Investment Decision and until the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the Project;
- Ensure Project compliance with governance and approval procedures;
- Ensure that the contract management and procurement processes within the Project are executed according to applicable policies and procedures, and documented in order to allow transparency and traceability throughout;
- Manage and coordinate the flow of information internally and externally keeping all stakeholders informed on progress;
- Ensure regular reporting upstream to EPC management and downstream to project and other stakeholders
- Actively participate in supply chain relationship management, including: general communications and regular meetings, maintaining and improving supply chain and market knowledge.
- Lead contractual and commercial Contractor Communications
- Manage payment workflow
- Manage change workflows
- Variation and claims handling and negotiations
Further to your work on major offshore wind developments, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in:
**Business Development**:
- Marketing, e. g.
Contributing to editorials, industry news and events.
- Direct and indirect Sales; customer and stakeholder engagement
- Tools and Procedure; support to the overall group through contributing to the development of tools and procedures including the Procurement and Contracts Management Competence Centers.
**Training & Development**:
- Contribute or host informal and formal training sessions with the overall group.
- The opportunity to work with other renewable energy technologies, which can include power-to-X, energy storage, green hydrogen, ammonia and other exciting technologies.
