**This position reports to**:

Procurement & Logistics Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Coordination - Coordinate all procurement activities for Research and Development (R&D) projects.

Act as interface between the Technology Project Team, the local and global procurement.

- Project management - Responsible for all procurement gate model activities, arranging project procurement gate meetings as required and creating and maintaining the project related to procurement documents.

- Performance targets - responsible for initial cost and quality estimates and achieving product cost and quality targets.

Work to optimize the cost and quality at all stages of the development projects including investment and test cost.

- Supplier/material identification and selection - Work with the Procurement team to find new potential materials or new potential suppliers

- Tactical Procurement - Manage directly with the suppliers for each project the ordering and on time delivery of the prototype parts in line with the critical project development and testing plan.

Work to minimize the prototype and sample delivery time to reduce overall project timeline.

- Cost optimization - Work to optimize the cost at all stages of the development projects including testing.

Compare and develop the best value chain for the new product considering packaging cost, transportation and logistics cost, import duties and currency risk.

- Supplier development - Support the development of new lower cost suppliers to meet the level required for sustainable quality and on time delivery.

- Risk management - Manage supply risk by eliminating single sources for new critical components.

**Your background**:

- Degree in Management, engineering or equivalent

- Previous experience in Procurement will be considered a plus

- Knowledge of Excel advanced and preferred power BI

- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong written and verbal communication skills in English

- Proactive approach and a strong change management attitude; agile approach and flexibility, curiosity

- Availability to travel
