Description We are seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee procurement activities across the EMEA region , supporting the Graphic and Label Materials (GLM) business unit. This role will primarily focus on raw materials (paper, film, adhesive, and silicone), with additional oversight of other procurement areas. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing and implementing procurement strategies , ensuring efficient and cost-effective sourcing to support business growth. Key Responsibilities The primary challenge of this role will be its commercial focus , requiring the successful candidate to: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure a resilient and competitive supply chain. Develop strong supplier relationships , particularly within Europe, to secure optimal terms and mitigate supply risks. Explore alternative sourcing opportunities to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Negotiation & Contract Management Lead contract negotiations , ensuring favorable pricing, quality, and service levels. Collaborate with internal teams (e. g. , technical, R&D, sales, and manufacturing ) to ensure supplier alignment with business objectives. Oversee the approval process for new suppliers in partnership with the technical department. Procurement Strategy & Operations Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business growth objectives. Supervise non-raw material purchases and drive operational improvements in procurement processes. Monitor key market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to optimize purchasing decisions. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and reliability. Manage procurement budgets , ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to company policies. Leverage data analytics to drive insights and optimize procurement performance. Compliance & Reporting Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and corporate policies. Provide regular reports and data-driven insights on procurement performance, supplier KPIs, and market trends to senior leadership. Qualifications & Experience The ideal candidate will have: Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's preferred). 5-8 years of procurement experience, ideally in raw materials sourcing. 3 years of leadership experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role. Technical & Professional Skills Strong expertise in supplier negotiations and contract management. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (additional languages are a plus). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant procurement software. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills , with the ability to develop and maintain strong supplier relationships. Ability to navigate uncertainty , adapt to market changes, and identify opportunities for improvement. Strong collaborative mindset , working effectively with internal departments such as R&D, Sales, Manufacturing, and Finance. Reporting Line This role will report to the Procurement Director, EMEA. This is a hybrid role based in our Milan office.
