**Position Overview
The Procurement Manager will be part of Global procurement team that is working within Indirect procurement team in area Mediterranean.
You will have overall responsibility for strategically engaging with the internal customer and supply base.
This position leads the development and implementation of strategic sourcing, contracting and supply management strategies to ensure the organization attains the best value in the goods and services required to enable achievement of its goals.
You will take the lead in generating supplier related cost reduction initiatives; analysing and reporting on spend to identify new savings opportunities & reviewing 3rdparty spend.
You will be involved in activities such as : Purchasing Representative within the Country organization interacting with Global Category Management, Sourcing projects, Permanent Improvement, Processes & Compliance, Purchasing Targets / Reporting.
You will be reporting directly to Head of Procurement area East and Mediterranean based in Prague.
**You are responsible for
- Being first point of contact for all Purchasing activities across all spend categories and closely connected to local stakeholders high proximity to business / sales needs
- Sharing information on area activities within the categories (pro-)actively demand for GCM support where needed standardized tools, templates etc.
- Planning, coordinating and realizing sourcing projects
- Reviewing, re-tendering, re-negotiation of existing contracts (supplier relationship and performance management, supplier evaluations)
- Handling of escalations and change requests
- Challenging processes and "as is" status with stakeholders (provision of cost analytics and benchmarks to the business)
- Fostering continuous improvement programs with suppliers and business units
- Implementing purchasing processes within the area
- Safeguarding compliance and purchasing ethics
- Realizing of agreed targets and purchasing budgets
- Reporting and monitoring of external spend improvements and other KPI's
**Qualifications
- Knowledge of company finance, financial reporting and accounting (US GAAP and SOX)
- At least 3 years of experience in a strategic purchasing function in an international company
- In-depth purchasing expertise across different indirect spend categories
- Developed capabilities in project management and organization
- Strong negotiation, communication, and moderation skills
- Explicit contractual know-how, distinct commercial and business orientation
- Firm usage of MS office, experience with SAP-ERP systems
- Fluency in English and Italian
- University degree, specialization in Economics/Business administration
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure within given deadlines
- Positive, winning and motivating character with leadership skills
- Analytical and creative mind-set with professional competencies in strategic thinking
