Procurement Operations Expert - Region South
AniCura is looking for a **Procurement Operations Expert** for the South region, including Italy, Spain and Portugal.
As part of the AniCura Procurement team you will be responsible for developing and hands-on implementing best-procurement-practices in order to optimise total 'cost-of-buying' in your cluster.

**About the role
As the new Procurement Operations Expert you will be part of the Group Procurement team of AniCura, consisting of 14 people, who are together responsible for managing the relations with our suppliers and driving procurement excellence across the group.
You will report to the Procurement Operations & Supply Chain Manager.
The role can be based in any of the countries in South region.
AniCura offices are located in Madrid and Milano.
The role is permanent and full-time and working hybridly remote is possible.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
Driving progress with regards to the following initiatives and goals in your cluster:
- Local sourcing and supplier consolidation
- Local supplier relationship management
- Catalogue management and assortment streamlining
- Clinic order & stock management,
- Approved supplier list & supplier approvals
- Clinic procurement compliance and governance
- Procurement communication & community in cluster
Focus is on standardizing and simplifying procurement practices and to drive procurement value (quality, price, sustainability and time saving for the clinics) across AniCura in an aligned way by working closely with your peers in the other clusters.
Also, you will work closely with the Category Managers in the Group Procurement team, the Country Veterinary and Operations team to effectively and efficiently select, buy and use the products that meet the AniCura quality standards.
**You are expected to have**:
- 7+ years work experience as (1) veterinarian, veterinary technician or nurse who has been involved in clinic buying, (2) professional within procurement or category management
- Strong academic or other relevant education record
- Proven negotiation skills
- Experience working in an international team and/or environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
- Proficiency in second / third European language (Spanish, Italian) besides English is a plus
- Experience in medical, veterinary or adjacent industry (pharma, veterinary care, human care, medical equipment) and product knowledge is a plus
