Procurement Specialist
As a Procurement Specialist, you will manage purchasing processes and supplies for the company's global operations, with a primary focus on Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) and overall supply chain optimization.
You will collaborate with the head of operations to ensure that procurement strategies are in line with corporate goals and strategies, and you will execute and control processes and procedures, ensuring they are effective and successful.
You will focus on understanding business objectives to reach operational excellence, and work in the following business areas: procurement, purchase, production, and delivery.
You will be responsible for defining and running the best tools to support the processes and minimize costs, monitoring and controlling the key performance indicators of suppliers, supervising the purchasing activities, planning production, managing the logistics and ensuring on-time delivery.
Dealing with operational problems and acting to solve them is part of your daily activities.
You will be in the lead for managing issues such as: how do we ensure on-time delivery?
How do we streamline our procurement process reducing time to market and costs?
How do we plan production to minimize stock and support the sales forecast?
How do we select performing suppliers?
As part of your responsibilities, you will:
Identify and select domestic and international suppliers, manage long-term relationshipsLead and manage the creation, issuance and evaluation of Request for Proposals (RFP), ensuring to achieve the value for the companyLead negotiation with suppliers, ensuring competitiveness in terms of price, quality and delivery timesPlan and monitor purchasing activities, with a special focus on the management of Electronic Manufacturing ServicesOptimize costs and suppliers quality standards, ensuring delivery timelines and cost effectivenessFocus on inventory management and strategiesArrange domestic and international shipments, dealing with custom issuesEnsure procurement activities comply with international regulations and the company's policies on sustainability and CSRYour ProfileAt least 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial and international environmentExperience in managing EMS and handling RFPFluent in English, both written and spokenStructured way of working, in-depth analysis attitude and pragmatismAnalytical know-how and interest in process optimizationsStrong problem-solving skills, persistence and result-driven mindsetComfort in a fast moving, IT-related environment and working with cross-functional IT teamsResilient, motivated and self-reliant, comfortable with flat hierarchies and an informal work environment whilst keeping the highest standards of qualityABOUT UBIQUICOM
