Being part of the Procurement team and reporting to the EU Procurement Leader, the local Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the operational procurement activities required to ensure the smooth and timely supply of goods and services to the site.

In addition, they will support improving processes and the supplier performances, also they can request quotations for certain materials, packaging, items and services.

Working in close cooperation with the Regional Procurement Leader plus the local team members, this is a key position, fundamental to the success of the site.

Daily Responsibilities

Daily Operational Procurement

- Work with the Regional Procurement Lead plus the central and local Supply Chain team to set appropriate inventory levels for raw materials

- Continuously monitor those inventory levels to ensure that the site has sufficient raw materials and packaging to run the agreed production

- Place Purchase Orders based on defined commercial agreements with a high degree of accuracy

- Proactively expedite order confirmations from Suppliers.

Follow up to ensure timely deliveries and smooth communications between Supplier Customer Services and operations.

- If suppliers cannot fulfill the order, take the appropriate action with a sense of urgency, inform the right stakeholders (production scheduler, master planning, category manager)

- Work with the Regional Procurement Lead, and the Supply Chain team to look for alternative solutions to solve short

- and medium-term supply situations.

- Stay up to date with raw material market situation (talking to regional procurement lead / Global category manager) and inform local stakeholders and recommend actions to take as needed

Ongoing "project" work

- Record and monitor ongoing supplier delivery performance

- Maintain supplier lead times / MOQ's in SAP

- Manage the end to end introduction of new suppliers and/or suppliers ensuring all elements are fulfilled (coordinating with others to do the work as needed)

- Regulatory requirements are in place

- Samples are in on time to support trials

- SKU's are set up on time

- MSDS, SDS etc are collected from suppliers

- BOM's are updated

- Negotiate certain raw material and packaging items to get the best possible terms for the site

- Highlight areas to improve processes, shorten communication

- Provide on site procurement support for some Non Raw Material ("Indirect) Projects

During the holiday period or sick leave one of the logistics team members act as a back-up to the Procurement Specialist.

The Procurement Specialist can also back up a Logistics Specialist in the same way.

**Requirements**:

- University degree in Economics or related field

- Fluent in English and Italian

- Good analytic skills, proficient with Excel

- Previous experience in procurement, gained in structured companies with international scope

- Previous experience with ERP (knowledge of SAP is a plus)

- Willingness to challenge the status quo and to propose changes to improve the way we run our daily operations

- Good interpersonal skills, understand the importance of representing the Companies in front of suppliers and internal clients

- Positive attitude toward change, flexible and open to embrace new projects and opportunities
