Product Artwork is part of the Digital Operations & Technical Services (DOTS) organization. We are open to considering this global role to be based at any J&J Innovative Medicine Supply Chain locations. The Product Artwork (PA) consists of 30 employees and over 40 contractors. They manage the life cycle of all artworks (leaflets, labels, folding boxes) for all J&J Innovative Medicine products representing about 8, 000 SKUs with more than 10, 000 product artwork changes annually, serving 210 Local Operating Companies and guided by 30+ SOP/WIs.
The PA is structured in three main pillars:
Product Artwork Design, responsible for PA Guidelines; Design & Prototyping; Packaging Innovation & DesignProduct Artwork Coordination, responsible for E2E Artwork activities (creation; proofreading; prioritization)Product Artwork Excellence, responsible for Systems & Processes; Partnerships/Vendor Management; Performance Management; Quality & Compliance oversight. The PA Excellence Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the PA Excellence Team to:
Optimize systems & processes across Product ArtworkDrive quality & compliance oversight across Product ArtworkEstablish an E2E performance-based cultureCreate & strengthen internal & external partnershipsEmbrace Digital and Automation to improve data utilization and to reduce repetitive and routine workThis requires a strong leader that can deal with the complexity, evolve and grow both the business and the team, lead the team through change and manage the multitude of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Systems and Processes Lead optimization & consistency of processes and systems across PAEvaluate operational capability; identify gaps and recommend issue resolution to senior managementCollaborate with internal & external stakeholders to shape the best-in-class processes & systems for artwork management & sub processesDirect the team to look proactively for new and innovative technologies on the market to optimize product artwork process and leverage best practices in and outside J&JLead or act as a core team member in key project initiatives both cross-functional or globalPerformance Management Establish an E2E performance-based cultureMonitor trending and collaborate across other functional teams within PA to review metrics and define corrective/preventive actionsRecommend strategic metrics/KPI to monitor and improve operational performanceLead the optimization of the vendor landscape & portfolioDevelop Smart cost managementFacilitate internal alignment on core vs non-core activities as well as outsourcingPartner with the different functions within PA, Packaging CoE, Global Regulatory and Compliance, Business Quality, Pack sites and vendorsResponsible for Quality & Compliance of systems & processes within PA SPOC for Quality Event Management & internal auditsDrive flawless execution of Quality & compliance on processes, documentation & trainingDrive the right (preventive) behavior to reduce human-related non-conformance issues within PAEnsure processes & systems are in place to maintain a compliant organizationQualifications COMPETENCY (knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required) Knowledge of cGMP, pharmaceutical legislation.
