We are looking for a Product Compliance Engineer. The Product Compliance Engineer will work with the product manager to activate and maintain the conditions for effective and timely sharing of information within the area of expertise and across other business areas, to enable integrated, consistent actions aimed at maximizing customer satisfaction. They will support continuous innovation and the development of market-leading new products, interacting with international entities and production sites worldwide. We are looking for dynamic and motivated individuals with a degree in Electronic Engineering, with in-depth knowledge of laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and circuit simulation tools. Capable of performing functional tests on electronic circuits. Strong previous experience in resolving issues during certification or understanding problems to improve the product and assist project engineers in problem resolution. Mission: The engineer will follow product regulations and be responsible for product safety design and certification efforts for products marketed worldwide to ensure they meet relevant safety standards for industrial environments. They will collaborate with development and laboratory engineers, providing guidance on applicable certification standards and designing to meet those standards to obtain the required certifications, as well as conducting risk assessments and successfully leading closure towards product certification. The selected candidate will also play a key role in ensuring that products post-release continue to meet evolving certification standards and regulations, incorporating any learnings from field data into ongoing product improvements. Reports to: Hierarchically: R&D Hardware Line Manager Functionally: Project Manager General Profile: Degree in Electronic Engineering. Ability to read, understand, and interpret UL, CE, FCC, RED, KCC, EN regulations and apply them to the product. Curiosity to support continuous innovation and development of market-leading new products. Interact with international entities and production sites worldwide. Proactive approach in daily work. Teamwork skills, influencing and driving project choices. Main Technical Competencies: Translate safety and certification requirements (UL, CE, FCC, RED, KCC, EN) into design requirements for engineers. Gather and present necessary design documentation for certification bodies. Review technical changes on critical safety parts to assess risk levels and ensure appropriate verification is completed before release. Provide guidance to maintain adherence to relevant certification standards, including upcoming changes to applicable standards. Review design of labels, technical publications, and operational manuals to ensure compliance with the intended operating environment and adjust relevant markings. Participate in any product safety escalations and provide guidance on containment and corrective actions. Guide project leaders and engineers on safety and certification requirements, including testing and design constraints, for mechanical and electronic environmental aspects to ensure products meet various national and international safety regulations and voluntary and mandatory markings. Interact productively with all levels of personnel internally and externally. Effectively communicate proposed strategies and legal requirements to senior management. Design experience facilitating product certification. Proficient in writing technical documentation and project specifications. Capable of conducting verification tests and documenting results independently. Able to work in a fast-paced development environment. Utilization of MS-Project and basic knowledge of Project Management. Lean methodology knowledge for new product development. Proficient in Office applications. Fluent in English for interfacing with international entities; other languages are a plus. Willingness to travel for short trips.
