Atlas Copco BLM, based in Paderno Dugnano, is a Center of Competence within the Atlas Copco Group for Quality Assurance & Manual Tightening solutions, specializing in the development and production of cutting-edge tools and software for quality control and tightening on production lines across various industrial sectors.

Role Overview: The Product Compliance Engineer will work with the product manager to enable and maintain effective and timely information sharing in the area of expertise and across other business areas to ensure integrated and consistent actions aimed at maximum customer satisfaction.

The role supports continuous innovation and the development of new market-leading products, interacting with international entities and production sites worldwide.

Key Responsibilities: Follow product regulations and be responsible for product safety design and certification efforts for products marketed worldwide. Collaborate with development and laboratory engineers, providing guidance on applicable certification standards and designing to meet those standards. Conduct risk assessments and lead successful closure processes to achieve product certification. Ensure that released products continue to meet evolving certification standards and regulations, incorporating field data into continuous product improvements. Translate safety and certification requirements into design requirements for engineers. Gather and present necessary design documentation for certification bodies. Review technical changes on critical safety parts to assess risk levels and ensure appropriate verification is completed before release. Participate in any product safety escalations and provide guidance on containment and corrective actions. Provide guidance to project leaders and engineers regarding safety and certification requirements, including testing and design constraints. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering. Ability to read, understand, and interpret UL, CE, FCC, RED, KCC, EN regulations and apply them to products. Curiosity to support continuous innovation and the development of new market-leading products. Proactive approach to daily work. Ability to work in teams and influence project decisions. Fluent English for interaction with international entities; other languages are a plus. Availability for short trips. Technical Competencies: Experience in facilitating product certification. Ability to write technical documentation and project specifications. Capable of conducting verification tests and documenting results independently. Experience with MS-Project and basic Project Management knowledge. Knowledge of Lean methodology for new product development. General Duties: Maintain respectful and courteous relationships with all colleagues and collaborators to foster a serene and productive departmental climate. Adhere to safety regulations when drafting maintenance procedures to safeguard customer safety. Collaborate with other teams as necessary to achieve corporate objectives.
