SABAF S. P. A. , a leading company in manufacturing and distribution of components for the domestic and professional appliances sector, is seeking a Product Design Engineer. Job ResponsibilitiesThe Product Design Engineer will be responsible for identifying opportunities for new product design, analyzing how a new product ties in with market needs and consumer preferences, and setting design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners. In this role, the candidate will:create digital or print drawings; finalize product specifications to create product drawings; translate requirements into practical product features and design fully-functional products; work closely with product engineers from other branches (worldwide) to suggest designs for new products; create opportunities for International Patents related to product design, recommend filing patents, and maintain knowledge about competitive patents; work with the salesteam and the customer to finalize the new product technical specifications; capture and analyzecustomer pain points to address proper technical solutions; travel to visit customers for design reviews, product workshops, and presentations; travel to other Sabaf locations to work with the operations team on new and existing products. Competence RequirementsBSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Manufacturing Design Engineering, or relevant fields; Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Product Designer or similar role in the industrial sector, preferably in the Automotive, White Goods, or HVAC industries; Creativity in shapes and techniques, excellent attention to detail; Hands-on experiencewith computer-aided design (CAD) tools; Good knowledge of 3D modeling software; Fluent in Italian and English; Ability to work in a team; Result-oriented;Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
