Our Client is part of an International Floorings Manufacturer.

For the ceramic and porcelain tile division, we are recruiting a

Product Design Senior Director

**Location**:

Texas

Role Reporting to Top Management, the appointee will

Oversee the strategy and development of new products giving direction regarding colors, surfaces and textures

Manage a small team of direct and indirect reports

Develop the short and long-term strategic plan for overall product strategy as well as the design, development and introduction of new products

Present and communicate new products and programs to field sales groups and customers

Identify and meet with new and existing vendors to evaluate new product opportunities

Develop relationships with vendors to provide best quality and the lowest cost

Visit regional markets to stay abreast of product issues and opportunities

Support brand by attending National and Regional meetings

Drive product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market

Conduct market research and identify / track market trends

Determine product portfolio gaps such as price point, new technologies and customer needs

Approve final product in the lab and at the plant

Oversee design for display and / or production according to specific input

Support Sales Team creating trends, reports and products presentationfor specific customers or events

Understand how product, price, place and promotion all contribute to the success of brands

Manage special projects

Very good English

10+years product development experience related to industrial ceramic-tile production to include knowledge of glazes, frits, inks reaction, different printing and decorating systems

5+ years' experience in ceramic-tile graphic creations and elaborations

5+ years' experience with Photoshop in each of the following areas:

concepts creation, graphic editing, color correction

5+ years' experience with color management systems and ceramic profiles

Able to influence and foster teamwork at all levels of the organization

Able to prioritize and delegate

Proven leadership and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills

Able to make presentations

Digitally literate
