Product Management
Your mission**:
This role is based out of our Offices in Lombardy, Milan.
**What you will do**:
- Be the local SME "Subject Matter Expert" and 'Product Champion', 'evangelist' and 'go-to' person for sales teams, partners and customers on all product related questions/queries regarding products and associated programmes / promotions/ markets / technologies
- Liaise closely with the Central Business Unit product team to assist in the development of Customer Value Propositions (CVP) that fully match local customer requirements
- Adapt central training materials to communicate the CVP for products for local purposes, and present these to Epson and Channel sales staff
- Support local sales and marketing colleagues at customer or product launch/events/ exhibitions etc.
to ensure that products are presented / demonstrated at their best
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the key competitors, complementary vendors, end users and channel partners who influence the market
- Gather information from sales teams and directly from customers / channel on market trends and competitor information (new products / price positioning / promotional offers etc)
- Provide feedback and structured reporting to the Central Business Unit to ensure that local market situation is fully understood
- Help and support the sales effort by overseeing the key demonstration resource - the product demonstration pool.
Ensure that products in the pool are being properly maintained and are received by the channel / customer in a suitable manner
- Support and engage key alliance partners to enhance these vital business relationships
- Supports all stages of local Business Plan construction and Forecasting process providing accurate reports and inputs
- Support Sales team in key tenders' management in all its stages, from opportunity evaluation through the analysis of the technical specifications and certifications required, through pricing strategy
- Proactively supports BU management and top management with structured Reporting and Analysis regarding stock, availability, sell-out, sell-in, opportunities, market, forecasts
- Supports Distribution team in all activities related to orders from planning to being the main reference for any requirement regarding orders
**What we ask for**:
- Product management background preferably within a related industry
- Enthusiasm for technology, and an inquisitive mind
- Good communication and presentation skills and the ability to network
- Understanding of the market sector, and appreciation of major channel influencers and end users
- Ability to assess and assimilate multiple information sources
- Experience operating in a matrix organisation with central functions
- Able and willing to travel
- Graduate and post-graduate certificate will be preferred.
Economics / Scientist background will be preferred
- English fluent (preferable certificate B2)
- Advanced use of MS Excel and intermediate knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Dynamics
