ABB ELIP European HUB is looking for a Product Line Manager to support the Electrical Portfolio in various product life cycle activities (market analysis, conceptualization, product development, launch, maintenance, pricing and profitability) to ensure a sustainable growth within the expansion plan of some product lines.

You will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth and marketing of the ABB ELIP Miscellaneous offering to targeted market segments, by developing and managing it through all its life cycle phases, according to market needs and Product Group strategy and targets (market analysis, conceptualization, product development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability).

**Your responsibilities**:
- Ensure that ABB has a full understanding of market requirements and can translate these into effective products and service offerings.
Prepare various analyses by market, product and competitors.
Conduct valuations of market size and trends, conduct competitor analyses including identification of product/system/service gaps and evaluate ABB position.
- Support the product lifecycle activities from introduction to product obsoleting.
Maintain databases, product datasheets, cross references.
Review periodically the results of the product lines and propose solutions for optimizing gross margin and service to the customer.
- Propose new product development or product enhancements to offer suitable and unique solutions to customer needs and in so doing collects and analyses standards, market requirements, customer needs and values as an input for producing a product roadmap.
From identified opportunities, support the Product Portfolio Manager in creating the business case for product development projects.
- Facilitate information transfer between customers, product management and R&D teams in the development of correct solution.
Monitor major warranty cases and quality cost drivers for assigned products and ensure effective resolution.
- Manage technical specifications of assigned products and support in developing compelling business case for product development, including cost streamlining and pricing setup.
- Create and deliver product training to internal teams and external customers.
- Collaborate to define marketing plans to promote sales activities.
Assist in the creation and distribution of materials and key message information.
Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of marketing tools to support the business and the sales organizations, for the existing products and in the launch and introduction of new products.
- Prepare and follow up detailed planning for assignments in the product responsibilities, coordinate actions between different functions, such as product management, engineering, operations, supply chain, quality and marketing to ensure projects are delivered within the time frame established.
**Your background**:
- Bachelor or master's degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Over 2 years' experience in the role in a B2B multi-discipline environment.
- Experience with electrical installation solutions or similar industrial products would be an asset.
- Willingness to travel (30% of time, worldwide).
- Fluency in English both written and verbal.
Presentation and communication skills to different levels of stakeholders.
- Business acumen, entrepreneurial thinking and acting, decisiveness, result orientation.
- And ability to prioritize activities and respect deadlines.
Project management skills and able to work independently under own initiative.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication and relationship building skills with colleagues of other departments.
