Product Manager
Nidec Conversion an MV Drives Product Manager for Cinisello Balsamo site.
The Product Manager will be responsible for both product planning and product marketing.
This includes managing the product throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with R&D, to deliver winning products.
It also includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals.
PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Market analysis and technological and economic intelligence Ensure or have ensured the functions of technological watch to detect major market innovations and constantly situate the company in relation to potential competition.
Analyze and/or commission the necessary studies to identify market expectations and industrial trends: end-user needs, ergonomics, best practices, price, design, etc.
Ensure feedback from all the company's business departments on market expectations: customer service, sales management, research and development, etc.
Anticipate constraints and/or new regulatory opportunities in conjunction with the legal department.
Product definition and design Define a product positioning in line with the technological and economic stakes and taking into account the company's development strategy.
Carry out or have carried out technical feasibility studies of the product.
Work with external third parties to assess partnerships, licensing, acquisition opportunities Carry out a market study to validate the estimated economic performance of the product to be launched.
Set up a business plan to ensure the future profitability of the product in case of market launch.
Participation to clarification meeting Participation to review with the business leader Product development and interface with the study, research and development teams Define precise functional specifications and ensure the correct translation in terms of technical specifications with the development teams.
Follow the product development plan ("product roadmap") with the R&D teams.
Monitor the progress of the development in relation to the commercial launch requirements: the "time to market".
Validate the adequacy of the development to the specifications defined upstream, particularly in terms of use and added value on the market.
Correct the product according to the launch of competing products on the market.
Ensure budget monitoring and the permanent adequacy of resources to the objectives set.
Steering and support during the commercial launch:> Contribute to the elaboration of the promotion and marketing strategy: prices, distribution channels, communication. . .> Formalize and/or validate all the technical documentation and all the added value of the product on the market: technological performances, new services, new uses, prices, sales tools, collateral> Brief and train the sales force to support the product launch> Ensure a permanent monitoring of customer and market returns and commercial performance in order to correct any malfunctions and/or improve the performance of the product.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and LANGUAGES Education and Qualifications Double Master degree: Engineer in Power Electronics, Master, accompanied by a postgraduate marketing/sales cycle (Master) MS OFFICE knowledge (Outlook, PowerPoint and Word); at least medium level in Excel Familiar with ERP systems and CRM Good knowledge of Lean process deployments International experience and willingness to travel abroad.
Experience 2+ years of relevant experience in a Product Manager position for in Medium voltage Variable Speed Drive system Languages Fluent in Italian & English, other languages are a plus.
