Product Manager
Product Manager – Aftermarket Automotive We are seeking an experienced Product Manager in the automotive aftermarket sector , with expertise in managing multiple product lines and an in-depth knowledge of products and competitors in European and non-European markets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring market trends , ensuring competitive positioning , and developing product strategies to drive growth and profitability.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Marketing, Sales, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment between the product portfolio and market needs.
Key Responsibilities: Product Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of different product lines, ensuring they meet market requirements.
Market Analysis: Identify new opportunities and market trends to expand the portfolio and improve competitiveness.
New Product Development: Collaborate with the commercial and marketing teams to launch new products in a competitive timeframe.
Sales Planning: Define product strategies to improve commercial performance and meet market demand.
Quality Control: Ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing, Commercial, and Sales teams to ensure successful product positioning and market success.
International Travel: Attend trade fairs and industry events to gain market insights and strengthen relationships with suppliers and customers.
Reporting and Analysis: Provide detailed reports on product performance and suggest improvements to optimize the portfolio.
Catalog Creation: Set up and create easy-to-use catalogs through company software for both existing product lines and new launches.
Requirements: Industry Experience: Solid experience as a Product Manager in the automotive aftermarket sector , with expertise in managing multiple product lines.
In-Depth Knowledge of Aftermarket Markets: Expertise in products and competitors for each product line, with a special focus on European and non-European markets (preferred).
Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct market analysis and develop data-driven product strategies.
Commercial Skills: Understanding of competitive positioning and the ability to define strategies to improve profitability.
Industry Network: Knowledge of the key players, distributors, and partners in the automotive sector.
Language Skills: Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
