Product Manager - Processing

For Product Manager in the Processing space, the area of responsibility revolves around the core processing functionality for cards, from switching and authorisation through to clearing, including the APIs our clients use as part of the transaction lifecycle. The Product Manager will have a focus area within this space, working alongside the Group Product Manager and Product Director to develop our core processing abilities.
What you get to do:Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competition. Analyse data to make informed decisions about product features and enhancements. Product Strategy and Planning: Develop a comprehensive product strategy aligned with Paymentology's goals. Define the product roadmap, including features, milestones, and timelines. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with client-facing teams, implementation teams, engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to drive product development. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support. Feature Prioritisation and Requirements: Define and prioritise product features based on customer feedback and business objectives. Create detailed product requirements and user stories for development teams. Project Management: Oversee the product development lifecycle from ideation to release. Monitor project progress, manage risks, and adjust strategies as needed. Product Launch and Optimisation: Own and maintain product vision and strategy (long- and near-term). Emphasise technical debt management and maintaining product sustainability. Clearly define KPIs and ensure product measurability and observability. Support sales and pre-sales efforts as the primary product expert. Maintain product information in Product board. Plan and execute product launches, working with marketing and sales teams. Gather and analyse user feedback for continuous product improvement. Performance Tracking and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track product success metrics. Prepare regular reports and presentations for stakeholders on product performance. Customer Engagement and Support: Engage with customers to gather insights, address concerns, and obtain feedback. Collaborate with support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues. Industry Awareness and Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Identify opportunities for innovation and product enhancement. What it takes to succeed: Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies. Proficiency in project management tools (e. g. , Jira, Trello, Asana) and product management software. Experience with API-driven products. Explicit mention of managing "data-centric tools" like invoicing data and usage metrics. Familiarity with design principles and UX/UI concepts. Knowledge of data analysis tools for deriving insights (e. g. , Google Analytics, Tableau, etc). Strong understanding of SQL. Strong technical core competence. Familiarity with payment scheme standards such as ISO8583 & ISO20022 is invaluable. Card processing experience is mandatory. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields is preferable but not mandatory. Professionals with a distinguished and verifiable employment history in the role may also be considered. Master's degree or MBA can be advantageous. Years of Experience: 5 years of experience in product management, or a related field. Demonstrated success in guiding product development through various stages of the lifecycle. Experience working on data-centric tools, including dashboards and automated reports, particularly financial and other reconciliation-related reports.
