Responsabilità
Investigates and considers customers' feedback to develop product strategy in close cooperation with marketing/Brand managers, and the group Sales & Marketing function.
Analyses market insights and translates consumer requirements and market opportunities into product briefs.
Screens continuously market developments and identifies trends and emerging technologies potentially influencing future product policy.
Is responsible for managing economically and technically successful products suitable to succeed both in the Traditional Trade, Mass retailers including online channel.
Is responsible to provide products and systems with comparatively high competitive advantage and unique customer value proposition, thus securing the category's planned profit contribution.
Has end-to-end responsibility for managing product lifecycle from initiation to after-market services driven by customers/markets.
Is responsible to set strategic pricing level early in process by considering market conditions, competitors' assortments, technology Importante Azienda.
Together with marketing/Brand managers, develops product strategy and product proposals as part of unit/group strategy, taking care of the differentiation of products related to the group brand architecture.
Conducts competitor's analysis and promotes on field testing.
Gives directives and drive decisions in order to define the desired performance targets and key attributes of new products.
Supports and coordinates market launches in cooperation with Marketing dept.
Ensures product maintenance activities are started on time and, in cooperation with the head of design andthe Group functions, initiates replacement of old products with new products (phase in/phase out process management).
Provides to sales dept.
adequate support in terms of sales material and product introduction.
Coordinates obsolescence management.
Monitors technical/economic status of the products (e. g. , by adapting technology, upgrading, introducing actions to increase product profitability.
Tracks the feedbacks on product issues and contributes to initiate solutions
Define product roadmap of the category ensuring business growth according to the business plan.
Develop Importante Azienda products to gain market share vs competitors.
Skills & qualifications
University degree is mandatory (preferably in new Engineering or Marketing) A Master and/or any other further qualification related to Product Management is appreciated
A minimum of 5 years' experience in Product Management /strategic pricing roles in technologically advanced consumer-goods companies is needed.
(A previous experience in Sales &/or Marketing Dept.
of a multinational consumer-goods company is highly appreciated
Fluency in English.
A further language knowledge is appreciated (preferably Italian/French/German)
Interest and curiosity for new technologies, new social trends and relative marketing/communication solutions is mandatory.
Capability in managing relationships and complexity in a multinational environment.
Capability to promote team-working and collaboration among the different functions is highly recommended.
Excellent communication skills are required.
A real market-orientation in defining the new products to launch and a proven attitude in working strictly in relation with product development, sales, and marketing is needed
Analytical and organizational mindset and way of working is highly recommended
